Rate changes can now be programmed in advance to become effective at a future date and time. That is, new rates can be programmed into the Model G4 Taximeter well before the effective date thereby minimising disruption to your business. At the specified date and time the new rates will commence to operate automatically and the old rates will automatically cease to operate. What could be more convenient? Long delays and the mad rush of rate changes can now be forgotten forever!

No rate chips required! Rate changes can now be performed conveniently in the vehicle by:
a. using a Schmidt Model G4 Programming Module, or
b. receiving rate change data via serial port from an external device e.g. dispatch/communications system, notebook computer etc. (conditions apply)

Built-in high speed communications port supports up to 16 independent remote devices simultaneously such as point of sale terminals, dispatch and/or communications systems, GPS receivers, road tolling devices, remote accessory displays, printers, taximeter security access etc.

a. front panel switch,
b. signal received from an external device e.g. dispatch/communications system, or
